The Big Ten will announce the division that will be in place for the 2011 season. Preliminary reports indicate that Ohio State and Michigan will be in different divisions, but will still play on the last weekend of the year.
Here are the reported division:
Division 1: Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern, Minnesota
Division 2: Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Indiana, Illinois

The Big Ten Conference released the list of student-athletes who received the 2009-10 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Award today. The conference recognized 484 student-athletes for earning a grade point average (GPA) of 3.7 or higher for the 2009-10 academic year, included in the list were 51 Michigan State student-athletes, the third-most among the Big Ten schools.

Michigan State Athletics Director Mark Hollis has announced the hiring of Alan Haller as Associate Athletics Director for Administration. Haller, a former Spartan defensive back and NFL veteran, was a 1st Lt. for the MSU Police Department and served on the force for 13 years.
